Iraq's oil reserve is the third largest in the world, with an estimated 115 billion barrels of oil and 100 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.

Approximately 36 billion barrels of the total oil reserve is in North Iraq and less than 10% of the region has been explored and is waiting to be extracted.
